Strategic Natural Resources plc (’SNR’), announces that it has been informed
that on 7 August 2007, Jeremy P. Metcalfe, Chief Executive of the Company,
purchased 5,866 ordinary shares in the Company at the price of 33.75p.

Following this purchase, Jeremy P. Metcalfe is now interested in 2,755,866
ordinary shares, representing 4.24% of the Company’s total issued share capital.
