Target Markets
The principal intended commercial uses for Elitheni’s coal include:
- • fuel for primary energy supply to industrial customers;
- • a reductant for use within the metallurgical industry;
- • an additive and primary energy source for the brick-making industry;
- • fuel for domestic consumption.
The primary market proposed for Elitheni’s coal will be the supply of combustion fuel for the Indwe Power Plant, which is proposed to be developed by IPSA close to Elitheni’s mine.
